What’s in season - July

We’ve seen a huge shift in consumer buyer behaviour over the last couple of months with shoppers choosing to purchase local, seasonal produce due to supply chain challenges supermarkets have experienced, individuals becoming more aware of their carbon footprint and having more time to prepare home-cooked meals - not forgetting about the endless health benefits.

We expect these trends to stay, with customers expecting pubs and restaurants to be supporting surrounding businesses by sourcing locally and making the most of the flavours and textures local, seasonal ingredients bring to a menu.

This July, we should be making the most of ingredients such as aubergine, beetroot, broad beans, jersey royal new potatoes, spinach, crab and basil. We’ve listed some of our favourite recipes incorporating these fresh ingredients below.
