As a brigade of chefs, we understand the value of supporting the industry, by recognising achievements and encouraging young chefs to build on their skills and experiences. That’s why we support Craft Guild of Chefs Graduate Awards, and Cost Sector Catering Awards, amongst many others, to celebrate and share achievements within the industry.
Launched in 2002, the Craft Guild of Chefs aim to attract, develop and nurture future stars of the culinary world. At Essential Cuisine, we’ve supported their search for chefs for several years now which has seen former achievers go on to win the Young National Chef of the Year, Roux Scholarship and Natural Chef of the Year.
Team Essential organise and take part in many fundraising activities and events throughout the year, including supporting Hospitality Action, Crisis at Christmas and national campaigns such as Macmillan and British Heart Foundation.
Our chosen charity is our local St Luke’s Hospice, who care for those with life limiting illnesses, delivering symptom control, end of life care, and complementary therapies. Over the years, we have raised over £10,000 for the hospice through events including climbing Mount Snowdon and walking the Sandstone Trail’s 34 miles in just one day.
