Essential Cuisine teamed up with Harvest Fine Foods, a Southampton based wholesaler to host a kitchen takeover, in aim to raise money for Eastleigh College Culinary students, to allow them to partake in culinary competitions.
Essential Cuisine are very proud to announce that they have gained a coveted AA-grade accreditation from BRCGS for the ninth consecutive year.
In the closest competition the Craft Guild of Chefs has ever seen, Alex Angelogiannis of The Glenturret Restaurant by Lalique has taken the title of National Chef of the Year. Finalists showcased their skills in an intense cook-off at the University of West London under the eyes of some of the leading names in hospitality.
Following two rounds of recipe creation and deliberation, the Craft Guild of Chefs has announced that twelve chefs are still in the running to be crowned the National Chef of the Year winner. Throughout the day, the finalists have received a celebratory bottle of champagne, courtesy of Hallgarten & Novum Wines and Champagne Collet confirming their place in the final which will take place at the University of West London on Tuesday, 10th October, 2023.
