Over the past 6 weeks we have immersed ourselves in foreign culture and cuisine with our brand new range of authentic, street food inspired seasonings. This week we are focusing on our Spicy Persian Style Seasoning and Middle Eastern recipe inspiration, as Persian food has been deemed ‘the next food trend to take the UK by storm’.
The number of Japanese restaurants in the UK surged by 67% between 2010 and 2015, according to statistics portal Statista. This trend is fuelled by the increase in visitors to Japan, creating demand for Japanese food in the UK. 68,400 British tourists visited Japan in October 2019, with 72.1% of them saying the food was one of the motivations to visit says Statista.
This week we are celebrating Afternoon Tea Week! Afternoon Tea may be seen as a British institution that has always been around, but did you know that it was first introduced to Britain in the 1840’s. It evolved as a mini meal to stem the hunger and anticipation of an evening meal at 8pm.
