Essential Cuisine and City College Southampton are proud to share the upcoming ‘Super Trouper Feast and Party’! With support from Essential Cuisine, on Thursday 20th January 2022 the students of City College Southampton will be at the heart of taking customers taste buds on a trip to their Greek themed Taverna with a mesmerising party atmosphere with the help of hit songs from ABBA!
‘Working closely with Essential Cuisine for this event gives our hospitality students an amazing opportunity to enrich their learning whilst supporting a meaningful cause that has directly impacted our team' says Simon Hart, Senior Teacher of Hospitality.
‘This exciting themed event will also enhance their skills in collaborative working as they plan the service of their 5* Greek inspired meal around our Performing and Production Arts students who are a coordinating a professionally produced stage show to take place throughout the immersive dining experience'.
‘Everyone involved is really excited to be hosting one of the biggest charitable events we have done, where all proceeds will support Abby’s Heroes, a Southampton charity which supports children, teenagers, young adults and their families when diagnosed with Cancer'.
All the chefs from Essential Cuisine are looking forward to helping the students learn the art of catering for a large scale banqueting event, showing and teaching them vital core culinary skills, attention to detail and most importantly… teamwork! Students were one of many sets of people impacted by the pandemic, we are hoping the skills they are now having the opportunity to learn will stand them in good stead for their future careers.
Gary Kilminster, Essential Cuisines Business Development Manager says ‘All of the team from Essential Cuisine involved and all the people in the industry we are bringing together are working incredibly hard to make this dining experience the best it can be for both the customers and students. We are really proud and honoured to support the event, college and students for such an incredible cause’.
‘As a parent myself, I can’t imagine the pain and distress of having to watch your child go through something so cruel. By working with the college to deliver a fantastic evening to support Abby’s Heroes, we are hoping to support many families who rely on the charity'.
