At Essential Cuisine, we believe in nurturing talent, inspiring creativity, and giving back to the industry that inspires us every day. That’s why we actively sponsor and support some of the UK’s most prestigious chef competitions and initiatives, helping to shape the future of hospitality.
Since 2023, we’ve proudly sponsored the Pub Chef of the Year competition, championing the creativity, skills, and passion of chefs working in pubs across the UK. In 2025, we added in an additional touch point of a Mentor Day, an inspiring event designed to equip finalists with valuable skills, guidance, and industry insight ahead of the national competition. The day brought together experienced mentors, interactive workshops, and hands-on culinary sessions to prepare chefs for success both in and out of the competition kitchen.

Charity Involvement
Team Essential organise and take part in many fundraising activities and events throughout the year, including supporting Hospitality Action, Crisis at Christmas and national campaigns such as Macmillan and British Heart Foundation.
Our chosen charity is our local St Luke’s Hospice, who care for those with life limiting illnesses, delivering symptom control, end of life care, and complementary therapies. Over the years, we have raised over £10,000 for the hospice through events including climbing Mount Snowdon and walking the Sandstone Trail’s 34 miles in just one day.
