Nutrisis Thickener

Nutrisis Thickener is designed to adapt the texture of meals for nutritional requirements in the event of swallowing (dysphagia), chewing disorders and/or risks of aspiration. It helps make smooth, even and lump-free blended textures.

Size: 1kg tub
Use: 30 to 90 g/kg of Nutrisis Thickener, for all types of applications.
Shelf-life: 18 months

Easy to use
Add the thickening powder to your chosen ingredients and blend.

Adjust the consistency as required
If the desired consistency isn’t achieved, simply add more product and blend until satisfied. To liquefy the mixture just add water or milk.

Stable and instant texture
Helps to make smooth, even and lump-free dishes in the event of swallowing (dysphagia), chewing disorders and/or risks of aspiration.

Texturise your whole menu
For all meal applications, hot or cold, sweet or savoury.

We have found that the fineness of the Nutrisis thickener to be superior than the granulated textures of other thickeners at thickening quicker and with less product. (Bonus on the cost/yield front).

There is very minimal leeching from any product that has been thickened and has sat plated for any length of time. Also with regeneration there has been very minimal consistency change in the thickened product.

We also found that with other thickeners that we have used, hot food would thicken quite easily but we could use up to twice as much when trying to thicken cold foods. This was not the case with Nutrisis. We found it performed equally well with both hot and cold foods using approximately the same amount of thickener for each.

We have found that the thickener incorporates itself easily in to any product that we have needed to use it on and does not clump together into small raw thickener balls (for want of a better word). Something that does happen at times with other thickeners.
