Essential Cuisine continue to support Crisis at Christmas

4th December 2018

Christmas 2018, Essential Cuisine are once again proud to be supporting Crisis, a national charity for homeless people.

Last year Crisis helped more than 11,000 people on their journey out of homelessness. They are dedicated to ending homelessness and understand how lonely the festive period can be for people without a home, cut off from family and with little access to a hearty meal.

This festive period can be incredibly lonely for some; with temporary centres across the UK, Crisis provide homeless people with shelter, food and companionship during one of the most celebrated holidays of the year.

Essential Cuisine have donated over 40 different products varying from Beef Stock to Chicken Gravy, which will help make delicious, hearty meals for the homeless over the festive period.

Ian Richards, the Head of Crisis at Christmas shared the importance of generosity for the charity – “Without the generous support of donors, volunteers and partners, Crisis at Christmas would not be possible. We would like to thank Essential Cuisine for their donation of cooking stock and gravy powder. This support will help us to provide a lifeline for our guests this Christmas and help them take their first steps out of homelessness.”

Crisis work side by side with people to help them rebuild their lives. This Christmas you could give someone who’s homeless all of the below for just £28.18:

  • A warm welcome and good company
  • Three nutritious, hot meals daily, including a delicious Christmas dinner
  • A bed for the night, if needed
  • A chance to shower, freshen up and get clean clothes
  • A health check and treatment from a doctor, optician and dentist
  • Expert help with mental health and addiction problems
  • Advice on housing, employment and benefits
  • A way out of homelessness for good through Crisis’ year-round training, education and support.
