SUCCESS FOR STAFFORDSHIRE’S 2010 YOUNG CHEFS

Winners of the Essential Cuisine Sponsored Taste of Staffordshire Young Chef of Tomorrow and Master Chef of the Year 2010 were announced last night at a gala dinner and awards ceremony held at The Moat House Hotel, Acton Trussell. The ceremony was attended by restaurateur Sarah Willingham of BBC TV’s Restaurant series and new patron of Taste of Staffordshire.
The announcement followed a challenging two hour ‘cook off’ for the 12 finalists at Stafford College during the day which included preparation of a three course meal using seasonal Staffordshire ingredients costing under £20.
Initiated by the Taste of Staffordshire, the competition aims to raise standards and develop culinary talent, promote local dishes and produce, and celebrate Staffordshire’s distinctive gastronomic appeal.
