VOYAGE OF DISCOVERY AT NUNSMERE HALL!

TENANTS from award-winning pub company Frederic Robinsons got up close and personal with new and existing suppliers at an exercise designed to make business work even better.

Thirty landlords from across Cheshire and Wales attended the two day voyage of discovery at Nunsmere Hall in a bid to strengthen the tenant supplier bond and find out more about the diverse range of quality products at their disposal.

Essential Cuisine was one of the suppliers invited to talk through its range of kitchen-made tasting stock, jus, glace and gravies, with managing director and former Dorchester chef Nigel Crane going one step further and helping cook a delicious lunch for the delegates.

Using Nunsmere sous chef Mark Fletcher’s recipe and products from each guest supplier, Nigel and Mark served up a three course lunch including braised pork belly, braised using Essential Cuisine Chicken Stock, and braised blade of beef, marinated in Old Tom Beer and braised in Essential Cuisine’s Signature Beef Jus.

“It was a fantastic opportunity to meet our Frederic Robinsons customers and demonstrate first hand what our products can do and how to get the best out of them,” said Nigel.

“For example, amongst the tenants was John Bailey from The Smoker Inn in Lower Peover near Knutsford, who has used our stocks and demi glaces for years. It was great to learn more about his business, talk through any queries he had and take on board ways we can improve and expand on our ranges to benefit the industry as a whole. A thoroughly worthwhile experience from both sides.”

A spokesman from Frederic Robinsons said it was a great opportunity for tenants to meet other tenants and suppliers, and they would be holding similar events in the near future.
